This 12 hour intensive training equips mental health professionals, social workers, and clinicians with the knowledge and tools to confidently support grieving clients. Through a blend of research, reflection, and practical application, participants will explore the evolution of grief theory—from Freud and Bowlby to contemporary process-based and meaning-making models—and learn how to translate these concepts into effective clinical practice. Day 1 focuses on foundational theory, helping you understand different types of grief, influencing factors, and the historical frameworks that shape modern grief work. Day 2 shifts to practice, guiding you through assessment tools, therapeutic interventions, and techniques such as restorative retelling, self-compassion work, and nervous-system regulation. By the end of the intensive, you’ll walk away with a deepened understanding of grief, evidence-based interventions, and the confidence to help clients move toward healing, integration, and resilience.
